54 New COVID-19 Cases in China... All Are Overseas Arrivals (Update)
Cumulative Confirmed Cases 81,394 and Deaths 3,295 to Date
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] China reported 54 new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). All new confirmed cases were imported from overseas.
The National Health Commission of China announced on the 28th that there were 54 new confirmed cases and 3 new deaths in mainland China on the 27th. There were 29 new suspected cases.
As a result, the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in China to date is 81,394, with 3,295 deaths.
All new confirmed cases were imported cases from overseas. Shanghai reported the highest number with 17 cases, followed by Guangdong with 11, Fujian with 6, and Tianjin with 5. Accordingly, the cumulative number of imported confirmed cases has increased to 649.
The total number of people discharged after recovery is 74,971, and 3,128 patients are still undergoing treatment.

The cumulative confirmed cases in the Chinese-speaking regions outside mainland China are 819. Hong Kong reported 518 cases (4 deaths), Macau 34 cases, and Taiwan 267 cases (2 deaths).
