Dongseo Power, All Board Members Return Salaries to Overcome COVID-19 Crisis
Executives and Department Heads Joined by 5 Non-Executive Directors
Over 200 Million Won Raised to Support Local Economy and Vulnerable Groups
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Korea East-West Power announced that non-executive directors will also participate in salary returns as part of sharing the public's pain due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). Previously, the president, executives, and department heads decided to return their salaries.
On the 27th, five non-executive directors of the East-West Power board voluntarily decided to return about 5% of their salaries to overcome the COVID-19 crisis.
East-West Power will promptly allocate the approximately 200 million won raised through this salary return to the headquarters, all business sites, and new construction promotion areas.
Through this, they plan to revitalize the local economy and support vulnerable groups.
Earlier, East-West Power also donated 200 million won to overcome the COVID-19 crisis.
They have supported a total of 133 million won for disinfection and sterilization activities targeting vulnerable groups in nationwide business areas, delivery of relief supplies such as hand sanitizers and masks, and provision of snacks to encourage quarantine personnel.
