Fasoo.com Changes Company Name to 'Fasoo' and Commits to Becoming a Global Enterprise
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Fasoo.com announced on the 27th that it will change its company name to Fasoo in celebration of its 20th anniversary.
On the same day, Fasoo.com held its regular shareholders' meeting at its headquarters on the 6th floor of Nurikum Square in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The agenda to change the company name from Fasoo.com to Fasoo was approved to revitalize the corporate image and leap forward as a leading global software company.
Fasoo.com decided to remove "dotcom" from its name, judging that the word "dotcom" does not align with the image of a global company. Since the early days of entering overseas markets, it has operated under the Fasoo brand, securing high brand recognition.
Fasoo CEO Kyugon Cho said, "The opportunity for Fasoo to grow further lies in overseas markets," adding, "We are continuously making efforts in various ways to become a globally competitive company."
He continued, "So far, under the name Fasoo.com, we have grown into the number one company in market share in the domestic data security sector," and expressed his ambition, saying, "From now on, under the new name Fasoo, we will make a new mark in the history of software."
