[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Audi announced on the 27th that it will launch the luxury sport utility vehicles (SUV) ‘The New Audi Q8 45 TDI Quattro Premium’ and ‘The New Audi Q8 50 TDI Quattro Premium’ in the Korean market for the first time on the 1st of next month.
‘The New Audi Q8’ is the top-tier model newly added to Audi’s SUV lineup, the ‘Q series.’ It combines the spaciousness and functionality of a large SUV with the elegant and emotional style of a luxury coupe, presenting a new segment in the SUV market.
Introduced for the first time in Korea, ‘The New Audi Q8’ is offered in two lines: ‘The New Audi Q8 45 TDI Quattro Premium’ and ‘The New Audi Q8 50 TDI Quattro Premium.’ It features a 3.0ℓ diesel direct injection turbocharger (TDI) engine and an 8-speed Tiptronic transmission, boasting powerful performance and high efficiency. Additionally, it provides an optimal driving environment with advanced driver assistance systems and safety and convenience features, including HD matrix LED headlights with dynamic turn signals, the S line exterior package, Pre Sense 360, dual touchscreen MMI Navigation Plus and MMI touch response, and the premium air package.
‘The New Audi Q8’ is equipped with a 3.0ℓ V6 diesel direct injection turbocharger (TDI) engine and an 8-speed Tiptronic transmission, delivering a maximum output of 231 horsepower and a maximum torque of 50.99 kg·m. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds, has a top speed of 233 km/h, and a combined fuel efficiency of 10.7 km/ℓ (city: 9.8 km/ℓ, highway: 12.0 km/ℓ). The ‘The New Audi Q8 50 TDI Quattro Premium’ produces a maximum output of 286 horsepower and a maximum torque of 61.18 kg·m, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds, reaches a top speed of 245 km/h, and has a combined fuel efficiency of 10.5 km/ℓ (city: 9.6 km/ℓ, highway: 11.7 km/ℓ).
The exterior of ‘The New Audi Q8’ boasts sporty dynamism and luxury that differentiate it from existing Audi SUVs, indicating the direction of Audi’s future design.
