Gyeonggi-do to Host Peace Policy UCC Contest
[Asia Economy (Uijeongbu) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province is hosting a peace policy UCC contest under the theme "Beyond Division, Towards Peace."
This contest is open to the public and was planned to provide an opportunity to participate in Gyeonggi Province's administration through UCCs (user-created content) containing fresh ideas, and to spread consensus on peace policies.
There are no restrictions on genre or format, and the theme is "Beyond Division, Towards Peace." Participants can upload a video of around 3 minutes on their personal YouTube channel and then submit it through the peace policy UCC contest website (www.peacecontest.com).
The total prize money is 35 million KRW, and the competition will be held in preliminary and final rounds. Ten teams selected in the preliminary round will receive 2 million KRW each to compete with higher-quality content in the finals.
The province will evaluate entries based on theme suitability, friendliness (spreadability), creativity, and completeness, and in the final round, YouTube views and the number of "likes" will be reflected by 20%.
The awarded works will be reflected and utilized in provincial events, policy materials of the Peace Cooperation Bureau, promotional materials, the website, and social networking services (SNS).
Submissions will be accepted from the 1st to the 30th of next month, and detailed information can be found on the peace policy UCC contest website.
