Suncheon-si Jogok-dong Resident Autonomy Committee's COVID-19 Disinfection in Local Multi-use Facilities
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] The Jogok-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee in Suncheon-si, Jeollanam-do announced on the 26th that all members of the committee actively carried out quarantine volunteer activities to overcome the COVID-19 crisis and protect the safety and health of residents.
In response to nationwide COVID-19 cluster infection cases, quarantine activities were conducted focusing on multi-use facilities frequently used by citizens within Jogok-dong, such as the local police station, post office, Nonghyup Bank branch, and the administrative welfare center.
A resident of Jogok-dong said, "At a time when anxiety is high due to COVID-19, it feels very reassuring that the Residents' Autonomy Committee is directly taking the lead in quarantine."
Lee Kyung-chan, chairman of the Residents' Autonomy Committee, stated, "In a situation where the anxiety of local residents is escalating due to the COVID-19 crisis, I hope this will be of some help." He added, "We will do our best in all activities to prevent the spread until COVID-19 is eradicated."
