Polish Confirmed Positive During 2-Week Self-Quarantine... Asymptomatic but Positive (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Seung-gon] Yongsan-gu, Seoul, announced that a man in his 40s of Polish nationality living in Hannam-dong tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) on the morning of the 26th. The patient is scheduled to be admitted to Soonchunhyang University Seoul Hospital in the afternoon of the same day.
This man, the 8th patient in Yongsan-gu, was classified as a contact of the 2nd Polish patient in Yongsan-gu (36 years old, confirmed on the 12th) and entered self-quarantine from the 12th.
Subsequently, at around 3:27 PM on the 25th, he used the Yongsan-gu Public Health Center ambulance to move to the screening clinic and underwent testing.
The patient remained asymptomatic throughout the two-week self-quarantine period.
This patient was not included in the cumulative total of 361 COVID-19 confirmed cases in Seoul or the 77 cases related to overseas contact in Seoul, as announced by the Seoul Metropolitan Government as of 10 AM on the 26th.
