Jeonbuk Province Delivers Local Specialty Products Worth 200 Million Won to Daegu and Gyeongbuk Regions
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Jeonbuk Province announced on the 26th that it delivered 6,052 boxes of local specialty products worth a total of 200 million KRW to the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions, expressing its determination to overcome COVID-19 and offering consolation.
The items delivered this time include 1,900 boxes of Jinan Red Ginseng Sticks, 1,560 boxes of Muju Cheonma Sticks, 512 boxes of Gunsan Jjamppong Ramen, 520 bags of 10kg Siprihyang rice, and 680 boxes of Gimje Geumsarak Nurungji, totaling 5,172 boxes. The goods were handed over to the Daegu and Gyeongbuk Social Welfare Councils and will be evenly distributed to various facilities and institutions.
Earlier, on the 20th, Jeonbuk Province delivered 880 boxes of Jinan Red Ginseng Sticks and Muju Cheonma Sticks in the first round to Gunsan, Namwon, and Jinan Medical Centers, where COVID-19 patients transferred from Daegu and Gyeongbuk are receiving treatment, conveying the warm hearts of the residents to patients and medical staff.
Jeonbuk Province decided to urgently support the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions with goods worth 200 million KRW using disaster relief funds and donated the funds to the Jeonbuk Community Chest of Korea. The purchase and delivery of goods were organized by the Jeonbuk Social Welfare Council.
The delivered goods are expected to help stabilize the daily lives of residents in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, who are experiencing the greatest difficulties due to COVID-19, and also serve as an opportunity for mutual growth by promoting local specialty products to support local farmers facing economic recession and reduced consumption.
