Gyeongnam Yangsan-si Distributes 75,000 Masks to Low-Income Vulnerable Groups
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Yangsan City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 26th that it will provide 75,000 masks free of charge to low-income vulnerable groups who are vulnerable to COVID-19 response due to old age and illness.
The support targets are basic livelihood security recipients and near-poverty groups in the region. Following the support for basic livelihood recipients aged 65 and over earlier this month, this time, 5 masks per person are being distributed to basic livelihood recipients under 65 and near-poverty groups through each eup, myeon, and dong administrative welfare center.
As the mask shortage continues, this measure aims to protect the safety of low-income groups who have limited economic purchasing power and are relatively exposed to risk, and to alleviate their relative deprivation and anxiety.
