Mokwon University Delivers COVID-19 Care Packages to Students Residing in Daegu, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Young-wook] Mokwon University announced on the 25th that it delivered encouragement items to students in the Daegu, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam regions who are struggling due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to the university, Mokwon University sent a letter from the president and cheering gifts to about 100 freshmen in the Daegu, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam regions on the 17th, and on the same day sent a letter from the president along with hygiene products such as hand sanitizers, cleansers, masks, as well as USB drives and notebooks to about 300 enrolled students in the same regions.
The items were prepared with approximately 20 million won in donations collected by President Kwon Hyuk-dae, academic officers, professors, the Professors' Council, staff, and the Mokwon University branch of the National Professors' Union.
President Kwon said, "We decided to support with goods, though modest, to share the pain and comfort the weary hearts of students in the Daegu, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam regions who have been greatly affected by COVID-19. We hope this will be of some help in overcoming the current crisis and hardship."

Meanwhile, Mokwon University reduced the rent by 50% for 21 on-campus stores facing difficulties due to the delayed start of the semester for the entire month.
