Gwangju Bank Holds 6th Regular Shareholders' Meeting
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Bank (President Song Jong-wook) announced on the 25th that it held the ‘6th Regular General Meeting of Shareholders’ at its headquarters.
At the shareholders' meeting, the approval of the financial statements for the 6th term (January 1, 2019 ? December 31, 2019) and the appointment of outside directors were approved as originally proposed.
Also, with the expiration of the terms of outside directors Kim Sang-guk and Jang Myung-chul, new directors Kim Kyung-sik and Kim Jin-young as outside directors, and Kwon Jae-joong (Vice President of JB Financial Group) as a non-executive director were appointed.
Outside director Kim Kyung-sik previously served as Managing Director at Merrill Lynch Securities, full-time auditor at Daishin Securities, and Vice President of Ubase Co., Ltd., and is currently an advisor at Ubase Co., Ltd. Outside director Kim Jin-young served as Head of Retirement Planning Research Institute at Samsung Securities, Head of Future Planning Center and Head of Trust Pension Business Division at Shinhan Bank, and is currently a specialist at Korea Risk Management Co., Ltd.
Gwangju Bank President Song Jong-wook said, “The reason Gwangju Bank was able to achieve record-breaking performance once again in 2019 was because of the unwavering support from the residents and customers of the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to achieve excellent management performance based on customer value and social responsibility with the mission of being the representative bank of Gwangju and Jeonnam.”
