HDC Hyundai Development Company Appoints CFO Jeong Kyung-gu as Additional CEO
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] HDC Hyundai Development Company held a board meeting on the 25th and appointed CFO and Head of Management Planning Division (Executive Director) Jeong Kyung-gu as a co-CEO alongside President Kwon Soon-ho.
Newly appointed CEO Jeong graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in law. He worked at Shinhan Financial Investment and Shinhan BNP Paribas Asset Management before joining HDC Hyundai Development Company in 2008. He has served as an executive in charge of finance and accounting, head of management planning, and CEO of HDC Asset Management. Since 2018, he has been serving as CFO of HDC Hyundai Development Company.
Since 2016, he has been leading the group’s efforts in discovering new businesses and mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and is credited with playing a significant role in the recent acquisition of Asiana Airlines.
