Although the value of his stocks declined, resulting in a decrease of about 45 billion KRW compared to the previous year, he still ranks overwhelmingly first among National Assembly members.
Besides Kim, excluding three members with assets over 50 billion KRW?Kim Se-yeon of the United Future Party (85.3 billion KRW), Park Deok-heum of the United Future Party (55.9 billion KRW)?the average wealth of the remaining 287 members was 2.48359 billion KRW, an increase of 128.24 million KRW or 5.4% over one year. This includes assets of spouses and direct relatives such as parents.
The National Assembly Public Officials Ethics Committee disclosed on the 26th the regular asset change reports of 323 public officials subject to disclosure affiliated with the National Assembly through the National Assembly Gazette. In addition to members, 33 public officials at grade 1 or higher from the National Assembly Secretariat, National Assembly Budget Office, and National Assembly Research Service were included.
By asset size, those holding between 1 billion and 2 billion KRW accounted for the largest proportion at 30.3% (88 people). Others include 32 people (11.0%) with assets over 5 billion KRW, 82 people (28.3%) with 2 billion to 5 billion KRW, 48 people (16.6%) with 500 million to 1 billion KRW, and 40 people (13.8%) with less than 500 million KRW. Among the members, 213 (73.4%) saw an increase in assets, while 77 (26.6%) experienced a decrease.
For grade 1 or higher National Assembly public officials excluding members, the average declared assets amounted to 966.62 million KRW, an increase of 98.41 million KRW (11.3%) compared to the previous year.
In the case of Kim Byung-kwan, the value of Webzen’s listed stocks reportedly fell by about 47 billion KRW. He co-owns a detached house worth 5.4 billion KRW in Bundang, Seongnam, sharing ownership with his spouse.
Kim Se-yeon also saw a decline in stock value by about 12.2 billion KRW, bringing it down to 61.7 billion KRW, including stocks such as Dongil Rubber Belt. He also sold forest land in Dongnae-gu, Busan, for 729 million KRW. His land assets total 13.5 billion KRW, and buildings 17.9 billion KRW. He owns a detached house (4 billion KRW) and a warehouse (3.8 billion KRW) in Dongnae, Busan, as well as an apartment (4.5 billion KRW) in Seocho-dong, Seoul.

Park Deok-heum declared assets of 55.9 billion KRW, mainly in real estate and deposits. Land assets amount to 21.3 billion KRW, buildings 7.7 billion KRW, and deposits 18.7 billion KRW. His wealth increased by about 3.6 billion KRW compared to the previous year. The land includes sites in Songpa, Seoul, as well as land, rice paddies, and forest land in Hongcheon, Gangwon. Buildings include a Gangnam apartment in Seoul co-owned with his spouse (4 billion KRW) and a Songpa apartment owned by his spouse (1.6 billion KRW).
