Pro Golfer Shin Ji-ae Donates 6,500 Masks to Central Suicide Prevention Center
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Professional golfer Shin Ji-ae (32, Sema Sports Marketing) donated 6,500 masks to the Central Suicide Prevention Center to help prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Earlier this month, Shin Ji-ae also donated 2,000 masks for families bereaved by suicide and North Korean defector youth.
The masks donated by Shin Ji-ae were sent to 17 regional suicide prevention centers and mental health welfare centers nationwide to support vulnerable groups. Baek Jong-woo, director of the Central Suicide Prevention Center, expressed gratitude, saying, "We will use them effectively to protect the safety of marginalized and infection-vulnerable groups."

Shin Ji-ae, who shines with 24 wins on the Japan Golf Tour (JLPGA) and the lowest average score, has been steadily donating since 2016 to children of families bereaved by suicide and North Korean defector youth.
