French hotel group Accor and Airbnb offer free accommodation to COVID-19 medical staff
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] French hotel group Accor and accommodation sharing company Airbnb are providing free lodging services to medical personnel and volunteers deployed for COVID-19 in France.
On the 24th (local time), according to major foreign media, Accor announced that it will offer a service called 'CEDA,' which provides free rooms accommodating about 2,000 people across more than 40 hotels nationwide, in cooperation with the French government.
CEDA is a social welfare program originally provided to the homeless, but Accor stated that it has decided to offer this service to medical personnel deployed during the COVID-19 crisis.
Airbnb France also announced the launch of an online platform called 'ApartSolider,' which offers free lodging to medical personnel and social workers.
