10th Anniversary of Cheonan Ship Sinking... Security Resolution Week
[Asia Economy Reporter Yang Nak-gyu] The Navy held a maritime memorial service to honor the fallen heroes of the Cheonan ship on the 10th anniversary of the Cheonan incident this year.
Soldiers aboard the Hwang Do-hyun ship (a 400-ton guided missile fast attack craft) of the Navy's 2nd Fleet paid tribute to the Cheonan heroes by laying flowers at sea near the Cheonan Memorial Tower off Baengnyeong Island in the West Sea. The Hwang Do-hyun ship is named after Sergeant Hwang Do-hyun, who died in the Second Battle of Yeonpyeong, and has been serving under the 2nd Fleet on West Sea defense missions since 2015.
