New CEO Hong to Lead Blockchain and Smart City Business Divisions
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Hancom With, a subsidiary of Hancom Group, announced on the 24th at its regular shareholders' meeting that it has appointed Vice President Hong Seung-pil as the new CEO and will transition to a dual CEO system.
Hong, who joined Hancom With last July as Vice President in charge of new business, played a leading role over the past eight months in restructuring the existing business model, which was centered on information security, into a business structure focused on blockchain and smart city platforms.
He is a professional executive who earned a Ph.D. in Information Security from KAIST and gained practical experience and academic knowledge at LG CNS and universities, and is recognized as a leading figure in the blockchain field.

With this appointment and the transition to a dual CEO system, Hancom With will have CEO Kim Hyun-soo overseeing the mobile forensic, drone, healthcare, and virtual reality (VR) business divisions, while the new CEO Hong will manage the blockchain and smart city business divisions.
