Bank of Korea Announces 2020 Financial Economic Law Research Paper Contest

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The Bank of Korea announced on the 24th that it will hold the '2020 Financial Economic Law Research Paper Contest' for students and financial sector workers.
The contest has been held since 2014 to raise interest and promote research on financial economic legislation, including the central banking system.
The topics include issues and improvement tasks related to financial economic laws such as the Bank of Korea Act, the Banking Act, and the Act on Capital Markets and Financial Investment Business.
Submissions can be sent via email or mail by July 28.
Through evaluation, the grand prize (1 paper) will be awarded 5 million KRW, the excellence prize (1 paper) 3 million KRW, and the encouragement prize (2 papers) 1.5 million KRW each. The results are expected to be announced around November.

Meanwhile, since 2017, awardees who apply for the Bank of Korea's new employee (G5) recruitment within the next five years are given preferential treatment in the document screening process.
