[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Seon-gap) won awards for two consecutive years in three categories: comprehensive city tax evaluation, delinquent tax collection, and corporate tax source discovery in the '2019 Fiscal Year City-District Joint Cooperation Project Evaluation.'
This evaluation was conducted on 25 autonomous districts of Seoul, assessing overall tax administration including comprehensive city tax collection for the 2019 fiscal year, delinquent tax collection performance from the previous year, and corporate tax source discovery.
As a result of this evaluation, the district received high marks in most evaluation items such as revenue collection performance, tax investigations, and administrative promotion performance, ranking first in the comprehensive city tax evaluation and being selected as an excellent district in delinquent tax collection performance and corporate tax source discovery.
Additionally, the district secured approximately 300 million KRW in resource adjustment funds as an incentive for excellent performance, which will be used as a budget for various policies benefiting residents.
The district formed a special task force for revenue collection and held revenue collection strategy meetings, continuously striving to analyze performance and devise countermeasures.
