This decision was made to join the President and high-ranking officials at the ministerial level and above who agreed on the 21st to return 30% of their salaries for four months.
Chairperson Lee Mi-kyung said at the executive meeting on COVID-19 measures, "The public is experiencing many difficulties due to COVID-19. As part of sharing the pain with the public, donations and support activities are actively being carried out across various sectors of society, including the government," adding, "KOICA will also respond and participate accordingly." Four executives also joined in.
In addition, since the 4th, KOICA has been providing and operating the KOICA Training Center as a self-quarantine facility for Seongnam citizens and Iranian residents in relation to COVID-19 response.

Earlier, to support COVID-19 response in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions, KOICA delivered masks and hand sanitizers to 10 facilities for vulnerable groups in Daegu on the 9th and donated 20 million won collected from employees. Furthermore, to provide medical support in the region, KOICA has recruited and selected personnel from KOICA volunteer groups to carry out medical (doctors and nurses), quarantine, interpretation, counseling, and administrative support.
