[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Two new deaths from COVID-19 were reported in Bonghwa, Gyeongbuk, and Gunpo, Gyeonggi Province, raising the total number of deaths in South Korea to 117.
According to Gyeonggi Province and Gunpo City on the 23rd, an 85-year-old woman who had tested positive at Hyosarang Nursing Home in Gunpo died of pneumonia at Myongji Hospital in Goyang at 11:58 p.m. on the 22nd while receiving inpatient treatment.
The patient, who had underlying conditions such as hypertension and dementia, was unable to move due to a fall and was diagnosed positive on the 19th before being transferred to Myongji Hospital.
