The ‘Good Mask’ campaign, which began on the 18th at Bukhansan Bogukmun Station, is a movement encouraging people to prioritize the use of medical masks for vulnerable groups such as medical institutions, health-vulnerable populations, and workers who interact with many customers.
Participants in the campaign express their intention to donate medical masks to healthcare workers or vulnerable groups who really need them or to give up public masks for those who need them more, while receiving cloth masks and portable hand sanitizers.
An official from the district office conducting the campaign stated, “The donated medical masks collected through the campaign will be distributed to vulnerable groups and those excluded from mask purchases after the campaign ends.”
Lee Seung-ro, Mayor of Seongbuk-gu, said, “We expect this campaign to be a small hope for those struggling due to the mask shortage,” adding, “If everyone shows consideration and unites with one heart during these difficult times, the COVID-19 situation can end sooner than expected.”
