Seongju-gun, Man in His 20s Confirmed COVID-19 Positive After Visiting the UK
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Young-wook] A man in his 20s from Seongju, Gyeongbuk, who traveled to the United Kingdom, has been confirmed positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to Seongju County, Gyeongbuk, on the 23rd, a man in his 20s, Mr. A (Seongju-eup), tested positive for COVID-19 the afternoon after arriving at Incheon Airport on the 21st and undergoing testing.
Mr. A visited London, United Kingdom, from the 13th to the 20th. He showed symptoms of fever, cough, and muscle pain starting on the 15th and departed London on the 20th. On his return trip, he transited through Helsinki and Bangkok but did not leave the airport terminals at the transit points.
Health authorities plan to transfer Mr. A to the Andong Humanities and Spirit Training Center for isolation and treatment.
With Mr. A's positive diagnosis, the number of confirmed cases in Seongju County has increased to 22.
