KB Financial Group Provides Free 'Medicine Delivery Service' to Vulnerable Groups in Daegu and Gyeongbuk Regions
Group-Owned Sacheon Training Center Ready for Use as Residential Treatment Facility
[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] KB Financial Group is launching additional support activities for vulnerable groups in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions who are experiencing difficulties in daily life due to COVID-19.
On the 23rd, KB Financial Group announced that it plans to provide free "medicine delivery service" until the end of June to approximately 12,000 low-income households receiving help from local children's centers in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions, which have been declared special disaster areas, in order to minimize medical service blind spots.
This service is available by utilizing the recently temporarily permitted "telephone consultation and prescription" system by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. After a user receives a hospital consultation by phone and designates a preferred pharmacy for medication, the prescription is sent from the hospital to the designated pharmacy. Then, by applying for the "medicine delivery service" through a delivery specialist company partnered with KB Financial Group, the prepared medication can be delivered free of charge.
A KB Financial Group official said, "KB Financial Group will continue to make every effort to fulfill its role as a responsible company that overcomes national crises together with the people," adding, "We hope that warm hope will be delivered to those who had difficulty visiting hospitals and pharmacies, and that they will recover their health as soon as possible."

KB Financial Group is continuously implementing various support measures centered on the "Group Emergency Management Committee." The "Group Emergency Management Committee" has decided to provide the "Sachon Training Center" located in Sacheon City, Gyeongnam Province, as a mild symptom living treatment facility in case of a shortage of residential treatment facilities. It will be provided upon request from the government or local governments.
