On the 19th, the Korea Energy Foundation (Chairman Kwangsik Kim) sent 500 KF80 masks to the community service center.
The foundation, established in 2006 as a public institution to expand and support 'energy welfare' for socially vulnerable groups such as the underprivileged, carries out projects including energy efficiency improvement and energy social contribution. Its office is located in Huam-dong.
Choi Youngseon, Secretary General of the foundation, said, "Regarding the spread of COVID-19 in the local community, after considering what we could do for low-income vulnerable groups, we judged that donating masks would be the most helpful."
In addition to Huam-dong, the foundation recently delivered 4,500 masks to Yongsan 2-ga Community Service Center and Seoul Station Shelter Counseling Center, attracting attention.
On the 18th, the Huam-dong Tongjang Association (Chairman Miran Park) donated 300,000 won in cash to the community service center. The center forwarded this to the Yongsan Welfare Foundation, requesting that it be used for the underprivileged.
On the 9th, 14-year-old Gunwoo Park, who said he "emptied his piggy bank," delivered 135,110 won worth of coins and bills to the community service center, and on the 17th, he received a commendation as a model citizen from Yongsan-gu Mayor Seonghyeon Sung.
On the 25th, the Huam-dong Neighborhood Council (Chairman Suin Yoo) will deliver goods worth approximately 10.05 million won, including cloth masks, hand sanitizers, and first aid kits, to the community service center. The purpose is to support low-income elderly living alone.
