Domestic Company Exports 20,000 COVID-19 Test Kits to Rumanima... "Continuous Requests for Test Kit Supply"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] On the 22nd, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that a domestic company signed a new export contract for diagnostic kits with Romania through government mediation.
Due to the global spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), requests for imports of domestically produced COVID diagnostic kits have been continuously coming from countries around the world.
An official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained, "The government identified overseas demand for domestically produced diagnostic kits through diplomatic missions abroad and connected them with domestic suppliers, which led to the export contract."
The supplier that signed the contract with Romania (producing only kits for export) agreed to supply 20,000 diagnostic kits (each kit capable of 100 tests) and plans to ship the products sequentially.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs official added, "The government plans to actively support the overseas export of products produced by our companies within the scope of meeting domestic demand, as part of international cooperation to prevent and respond to the spread of COVID-19."
