'LG Signature Wine Cellar', Revealed by World-Renowned Wine Critic
LG Electronics Selects World-Renowned Wine Critic James Suckling as LG Signature Ambassador
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] LG Electronics announced on the 22nd that it has selected the world-renowned wine critic James Suckling as the ambassador for its ultra-premium LG SIGNATURE brand.
James Suckling has been recognized by the American business magazine Forbes as one of the most influential wine critics in the world. He has tasted over 220,000 wines and evaluates more than 17,000 wines annually. Since 2010, he has been publishing wine reviews through his website, JamesSuckling.com.
This year, as the ambassador for LG SIGNATURE, James Suckling will actively participate in premium marketing activities, including premium brand video campaigns and interviews that enhance the value of LG SIGNATURE. In particular, he plans to promote the excellence of the LG SIGNATURE Wine Cellar to wine enthusiasts.
LG Electronics has been selecting top experts from various fields as ambassadors for LG SIGNATURE to highlight its differentiated premium value.
Among them are world-class female professional golfers Jin Young Ko and Sung Hyun Park, Misty Copeland, principal ballerina of the renowned American Ballet Theater, and Antoine Preziuso, a master watchmaker, all participating in LG SIGNATURE’s premium marketing.
The LG SIGNATURE Wine Cellar is an ultra-premium hybrid wine cellar that stores 65 bottles of wine in the upper section and features two drawers at the bottom that can be used as a refrigerator or freezer. It is equipped with temperature control functions to store red, white, and sparkling wines at their optimal temperatures for the best taste.
This product features AI voice recognition; when a user says "Open the door," the upper wine storage door opens automatically. It also detects when a customer approaches via sensors and opens the wine storage door accordingly. The drawer located at the bottom of the wine cellar has an 'automatic extraction and lifting' function, where pressing a button automatically opens the drawer and lifts its interior upward.
The LG SIGNATURE Wine Cellar also has a knock-on function, allowing users to double-tap the window of the wine storage compartment to view the inside. This window is made of triple-layer UV-blocking glass to prevent wine deterioration caused by external light or illumination.
LG Electronics launched the LG SIGNATURE Wine Cellar in Korea at the end of last year and has been gradually expanding its sales regions, officially launching in overseas markets since March this year.
James Suckling said, "I am honored to be associated with the ultra-premium LG SIGNATURE appliances. The LG SIGNATURE Wine Cellar maintains the taste and aroma of wine in optimal condition, and its intuitive usability and refined design are as captivating as the finest wines."
