Only Gold Color Plus Model Released... Priced Around 1.4 Million Won
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Amid discussions about the possible cancellation or postponement of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Samsung Electronics' Galaxy S20 Plus Olympic Edition has been unveiled in Japan.
On the 21st, Japanese mobile carrier NTT Docomo released real images of the Galaxy S20 Plus Olympic Edition. On the 18th, NTT Docomo announced that starting in June, it will sell Samsung Electronics' Galaxy S20 Plus Olympic Edition to general customers, and pre-orders are currently being accepted at dealerships and on their website.
The Olympic Edition is released only in a gold color and as the Galaxy S20+ model. Instead of the Samsung logo on the back, the Galaxy logo and the Tokyo Olympic 2020 emblem are engraved together. A dedicated Olympic Edition theme is also provided for the wallpaper. The price is 114,840 yen (approximately 1.3 million KRW).
Earlier, Samsung Electronics announced plans to release the Olympic Edition at the Unpacked event held in San Francisco last February. In the past, Olympic Editions were given only to athletes participating in the Olympic Games, but the Galaxy S10+ Olympic Edition was also sold to general customers.
