Two Additional COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Yongin, Gyeonggi
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Two additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi Province.
On the 21st, Baek Gun-gi, mayor of Yongin-si, announced through his social network service (SNS) that two residents in the area, A (49, female) and B (35), tested positive for COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Yongin-si to 28.
The specific infection route of A has not been identified. The confirmed patient underwent testing at Suji-gu Public Health Center at around 1:50 PM on the 20th after experiencing symptoms such as fever and cough on the 19th. She was confirmed positive at 9:40 AM on the same day and was transferred to Uijeongbu Hospital of Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center.
B is a colleague of the 34th confirmed case in Seongnam and had been under self-quarantine since the 17th. He underwent specimen testing on the 20th and, after testing positive, was transferred to Icheon Hospital of Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center.

Meanwhile, Yongin-si has decided to strengthen management of religious and multi-use facilities over the weekend by assigning one public official per church as a dedicated staff member. Additionally, the city plans to pre-visit 699 churches weekly to encourage online worship services and provide on-site guidance to ensure compliance with quarantine rules during in-person services.
