US Vice President Pence Staff Tests Positive for COVID-19 (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] One of U.S. Vice President Mike Pence's aides has tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), AP News reported on the 20th (local time).
Katie Miller, spokesperson for the Vice President's office, released a statement on the same day, announcing that they were informed of one aide testing positive for COVID-19.
Spokesperson Miller stated that they are identifying everyone the infected aide has met and are tracing the aide's contacts according to the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
However, the Vice President's office emphasized that this aide has not had close contact with President Donald Trump or Vice President Pence.
