Launch of the 'Urban Greening Support Deliberation Committee' in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Samho) announced on the 20th that it has launched the ‘Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City Urban Greening Support Deliberation Committee.’
The deliberation committee, launched on this day, will review major policy plans related to urban greening support based on the ‘Ordinance on Urban Greening Support in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City,’ which was enacted in December last year.
Specifically, it will be responsible for ▲selecting urban greening support projects ▲deliberating contests related to urban greening support, among other roles.
The committee consists of a total of 11 members: 1 district council member, 4 experts, 1 member from a civic organization, 2 members from resident organizations, and 3 public officials.
At the meeting held along with the appointment ceremony for new members, the deliberation of the ‘Creating a Happy Gwangsan United by Flowers Contest Project’ continued.
This contest includes ▲education and consulting for selected communities ▲planting woody plants and perennial herbaceous plants within apartment complexes and alleys by the communities ▲contest evaluation, aiming for a Gwangsan where flowers bloom all year round with citizen participation.
