LG Innotek 44th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders
Appointed Kim Chang-tae CFO as Inside Director and Ju Young-chang, Professor of Materials Science at Seoul National University, as Outside Director and Audit Committee Member
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] LG Innotek held its 44th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders at 9 a.m. on the 20th in the main auditorium of its headquarters at LG Science Park in Magok, Gangseo-gu, Seoul.
Jung Cheol-dong, CEO and chairman of the board, said in his greeting, "Despite the challenging business environment last year, we achieved favorable business results by responding proactively."
He added, "Although this year is expected to be difficult due to concerns over a global economic downturn caused by the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), we will continue to build a foundation for sustainable future growth and grow into a global leading materials and components company."
At the shareholders' meeting, four agenda items were approved: approval of the financial statements, appointment of inside and outside directors, appointment of audit committee members, and approval of the director remuneration limit.
First, approval was given for the '44th Financial Statements and Consolidated Financial Statements.' The cash dividend was decided to be 300 KRW per share, the same as last year.
Next, one inside director and one outside director were newly appointed. The inside director is Kim Chang-tae, LG Innotek's Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and the outside director and audit committee member is Professor Joo Young-chang of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Seoul National University, who is also the head of the Nano Metallurgy Research Group under the Future Materials Discovery Project of the Ministry of Science and ICT.
