Ha Seung-soo: "Yang Jeong-cheol is the worst of the deep-rooted evils... Is it reasonable that he is stronger than Lee Nak-yeon?"
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Cheol-eung] Ha Seung-soo, executive committee member of the Political Reform Alliance who has been promoting a progressive proportional representation election coalition, strongly criticized Yang Jeong-cheol, head of the Democratic Research Institute, calling him "the worst of the deep-rooted evils." The platform party 'For the Citizens,' which is allied with the Democratic Party, also claimed that Yang originally planned it.
On the 20th, Ha said on Facebook, "I have received many messages after mentioning the real name Yang Jeong-cheol," adding, "He is the worst of the deep-rooted evils. It is a mess because such a person is playing the role of a key figure in the ruling party."
He continued, "Even senior members of the Democratic Party seem to be wary of Yang Jeong-cheol. He is a political evil that must be purged. He ruined the important plan of the coalition party and spread slander against veterans of the democratization movement. This fundamentally flawed person wields more power than the ruling party’s presidential candidate (Lee Nak-yeon), which is the reality." He also questioned, "Does it make sense that Yang Jeong-cheol is stronger than Lee Nak-yeon?"
He also appeared on CBS Radio's 'Sisa Jaki with Jung Kwan-yong' the day before, saying, "I heard this directly from some key members of the Democratic Party," and added, "I believe Yang Jeong-cheol is naturally included, and 'For the Citizens' is a program planned by some within the Democratic Party, a founding plan."
This was information he heard from multiple Democratic Party officials. Ha said, "Since it is a founding program created with the involvement of the Democratic Party, the party could not withdraw. Especially those involved in the planning?I believe that person is Yang Jeong-cheol."
He added, "Since he planned and created the party himself, he would want to make this party a platform at all costs. However, a coalition party proposal appeared from the Political Reform Alliance, which includes formidable democratization activists and civil society figures. Anyone can see that this group is more trustworthy and objective."
Because of this, Ha claims that slander (black propaganda) was spread against the Political Reform Alliance. He said, "Since last week, there have been concentrated rumors that the representatives of the Political Reform Alliance have some problems or selfish motives, simply put. That the Political Reform Alliance is trying to go as an independent party, demanding nomination shares, and that members of the Minjung Party participated. These absurd slanders have been circulating intensively since last week."

He continued, "I believe this was reported to Representative Lee Hae-chan as well, and based on that, the platform 'For the Citizens' was chosen," adding, "The decision-making structure of the official party, the Democratic Party, has been completely distorted by a group that can be called a non-official power. That is how I see it."
