"Applying 5G to Gongdeok Station" U+5G Gallery Wins Grand Prize in Advertising Awards
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] LG Uplus's Gongdeok Station 'U+5G Gallery' won the Grand Prize in the Integrated Media Campaign category at the ‘Advertising of the Year’ awards hosted by the Korea Advertising Society.
According to LG Uplus on the 20th, the U+5G Gallery was opened and operated at Gongdeok Station on Seoul Subway Line 6 from September last year to February this year. By combining cultural and artistic works with augmented reality (AR) technology, it allowed citizens to easily and enjoyably experience core 5G services. Providing opportunities to experience 5G in daily life, it recorded over 133,000 experiences and established itself as a space promoting 5G services.

Additionally, the video campaign titled ‘Adding U+5G to Art’ covered behind-the-scenes stories of the U+5G Gallery exhibition works and participating artists’ pieces, accumulating over 21.3 million views on YouTube and other platforms. Customer engagement also continued with 570,000 posts and comments across various SNS channels. Jang Jun-young, head of brand communication at LG Uplus, said, “Like the U+5G Gallery, which communicated with citizens and promoted 5G services in daily life, we will continue marketing activities this year that provide new experiences easily and enjoyably close to our customers.”
