Haitai Launches ‘Ppadak’, a Fried Chicken Flavor Snack
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] Haitai Confectionery announced on the 18th that it has launched "Ppadak," a fried chicken-flavored snack, as a follow-up product to the shrimp-flavored "Ppasae."
Just like Ppasae, which emphasized differentiation in taste and aroma by grinding whole shrimp, Ppadak also embodies the same concept by capturing the flavor of fried chicken in a snack.
While Ppasae contains 7% shrimp raw material, this product increased the raw material content to 8%. Instead, no broth, which has limitations in flavor realization, was used at all. They chose a precise method rather than easy seasoning. Additionally, the batter for the fried coating, which determines the taste and aroma of fried chicken, was blended just like the real thing with various seasonings and starch.
