The number of confirmed cases in Italy has exceeded 30,000, and the outbreak of COVID-19 in Europe is spreading relentlessly without reaching a peak.
According to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University in the U.S., as of the afternoon of the 17th (local time), the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Germany is 8,604.
Germany has overtaken Korea (8,320 cases) and has become the fifth country with the highest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases after China (81,058 cases), Italy (31,506 cases), Iran (16,169 cases), and Spain (11,309 cases).
