Kim Joongsik, Former CEO of Korea Plant Service, Appointed as President of Seoul Energy Corporation
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 17th that it has appointed Kim Jung-sik (62, photo), a former Korea Plant Service CEO and former Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) executive, as the president of Seoul Energy Corporation, which had been vacant.
Kim underwent a personnel hearing at the Seoul City Council on the 4th, and the council sent a personnel hearing report to the city confirming that Kim is capable of performing his duties.
The newly appointed President Kim graduated from Inha University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and from Hanyang University Graduate School of Engineering (Industrial Engineering). After joining KEPCO in 1979, he has worked for 41 years in various fields including power plant construction, operation, and maintenance planning, serving as the head of Taean Power Plant at Western Power and as CEO of Korea Plant Service, making him an energy expert.
