Gangnam-gu Conducts Disinfection and Deep Cleaning at 742 Shared Facilities Including Parks
68 Water Cleaning Vehicles and 250 Personnel Deployed for Sequential Maintenance of 611 Bus Stops and 131 Parks
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) will deploy 68 water cleaning vehicles and over 250 sanitation workers by the 20th to conduct disinfection and thorough cleaning at 742 shared facilities, including bus stops and parks within the district.
This initiative aims to create a safe environment from COVID-19 by disinfecting shared facilities such as bus stops and parks frequently used by many people, while also performing water cleaning to remove the accumulated grime from the winter season.
Previously, the district completed cleaning and disinfection at 611 city, airport, and village bus stops by the 11th, and is sequentially working on exercise equipment and playgrounds within 131 parks mainly used by elderly and children vulnerable to infectious diseases.

Song Jin-young, Head of the Cleaning Administration Division, stated, “Gangnam-gu is doing its best together with residents with a spirit of Me, You, and We, caring and respecting each other to prevent the local spread of COVID-19.
