In particular, small and medium-sized manufacturers are pooling and donating cotton fabric, which is essential for cotton masks, giving momentum to the production of masks to be distributed to vulnerable groups.
According to the textile industry on the 17th, Dongwoo Apparel, a school uniform manufacturer, recently donated fabric to the Jecheon City Volunteer Center in Chungbuk to make 15,000 handmade cotton masks to be donated to vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities and elderly living alone.
Five fashion and sewing sample companies in Jung-gu, Seoul?Seongin, Soul, Irae Sample, Nara, and Mind?have been supporting the production of 2,000 cotton masks by trainees of fashion and sewing sample production training within the district from the 11th for 13 days, delivering them to health-vulnerable groups.

Bedding company Evejari converted part of its bedding manufacturing facilities at its production base to mask production starting from the 10th to distribute 3,000 filter-replaceable masks free of charge to employees of over 500 branches nationwide. The masks made by Evejari use functional fiber Deotex, which strongly absorbs and neutralizes odors such as ammonia, isovaleric acid, and nonenal emitted from the body. They can be reused after washing, and their functionality is maintained even after frequent washing, allowing for long-term hygienic use. Yoon Jong-ung, CEO of Evejari, said, "We strengthened support measures for mutual growth with branches by utilizing Evejari’s technological capabilities and functional materials," adding, "We will share the difficulties faced by branch owners and store employees who are struggling due to mask supply shortages at sales sites."
