The target group is about 2,700 children aged 2 to 6 years old, with 2 masks given to 2-year-olds and 3 masks each to children aged 3 to 6, totaling 7,725 masks.
Guardians can receive the masks after verification by bringing their ID cards and visiting the eup, myeon, or dong administrative welfare centers.
The masks being distributed this time were donated by Samsung and purchased with disaster management funds, and are expected to help prevent COVID-19 among children amid difficulties in mask supply at local pharmacies.
