On the 16th, the JLPGA Tour Secretariat announced, "Due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the Axsa Ladies Golf Tournament (total prize money of 80 million yen) has been canceled." They explained, "After much consideration to ensure the safety of galleries, players, and golf officials, we have made the final decision to suspend the event to prevent the spread of COVID-19." The tournament was scheduled to open for three days starting on the 27th at UMK Golf Course (par 72, 6,568 yards) in Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan.
