[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 16th, the 7th and 8th confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) occurred among residents of Seodaemun-gu.
These two confirmed cases are a mother and her son, who lived together in Dongnimmun Geukdong Apartment in Cheonyeon-dong. The mother, a member of Eunhyeui Gang Church in Seongnam-si, was requested for testing by the Seongnam City Health Center on the 14th. Subsequently, on the 15th, she and her son visited the Seodaemun-gu Health Center screening clinic for COVID-19 testing, and on the morning of the 16th, both were confirmed positive.

There are no other family members living with them. The mother was transferred to Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, and the son to Boramae Hospital. Seodaemun-gu conducted disinfection around the confirmed patients' residence and plans to investigate their movement paths and disclose the information on the district's official website.
