Iran COVID-19 Deaths Increase for Seventh Consecutive Week

The Iranian Ministry of Health announced on the 16th at noon that the number of COVID-19 deaths increased by 129 from the previous day, totaling 853.
This is the largest daily increase in deaths so far. The number of deaths has been rising for a week since the 10th.
With more than 100 deaths increasing daily, the fatality rate has reached 5.7%, about 2 percentage points higher than the global average.
