Confirmed Positive After 5 Days with High Fever and Chills Symptoms
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] On the 16th, one more death due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) was reported in Gyeongsan, Gyeongbuk. This brings the total number of deaths in the country to 80.
According to Gyeongbuk Province, at around 3 p.m. on the same day, A (81 years old, female), a confirmed COVID-19 patient, passed away at the National Medical Center. This woman showed symptoms of high fever and chills earlier this month and was confirmed positive at the Gyeongsan Central Hospital screening clinic on the 5th, then admitted to Gimcheon Medical Center.
Afterwards, as pneumonia worsened, she was transferred to the National Medical Center for intensive care but died from pneumonia and respiratory failure.
