[Asia Economy Reporter Ji-hwan Park] Bitcoin, the number one cryptocurrency by market capitalization, continues to show a downward trend in both domestic and international markets.
According to the cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb on the 16th, as of 3:39 PM, Bitcoin was priced at 6,483,000 KRW, down 4.94% (33,300 KRW) compared to 24 hours earlier. The trading volume for the day reached 98.1 billion KRW.
Most other cryptocurrencies also experienced declines. Ethereum (-7.94%), Ripple (-4.69%), Litecoin (-5.91%), Bitcoin SV (-7.03%), and Bitcoin Cash (-2.36%) all showed decreases.
The downward trend is similar in overseas markets. According to the cryptocurrency market data provider CoinMarketCap, at the same time, Bitcoin was trading at $5,034.66, down 4.79% compared to 24 hours earlier.

Most other cryptocurrencies are also sharply falling. Ethereum (-7.87%), Litecoin (-5.56%), Bitcoin SV (-4.57%), and Ripple (-4.59%) are all declining. In contrast, Tether (0.06%) is trading with a slight increase.
