Jangheung-gun Joins Military Units in Disinfection to Maintain 'Corona-Clean Area' Status

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Jeong Jong-sun) announced on the 16th that, to prevent COVID-19 and block its entry into the local community, they conducted a comprehensive disinfection campaign with the cooperation of the Army 31st Division Macheonmok Battalion.
Twenty soldiers from the Army 31st Division Macheonmok Battalion and reserve force commanders participated in the disinfection activities that day.
The participants focused their disinfection efforts on 160 multi-use facilities, including the bus terminal and public hygiene establishments.
With the support of the military unit's disinfection efforts, Jangheung-gun aims to protect Jangheung as a clean area from COVID-19 community infections.
A representative of the Macheonmok Battalion stated, "We hope this proactive response will help prevent and block COVID-19," and added, "We will continue to actively participate in protecting the safety of the local community."
Jeong Jong-sun, Governor of Jangheung-gun, said, "I thank the soldiers of the Army 31st Division Macheonmok Battalion who helped with the disinfection activities during these difficult times," and added, "With regular biweekly cooperation in military unit disinfection activities, community disinfection will be further strengthened, which is expected to greatly help block COVID-19."
