2021 Wando International Seaweed Expo, Gathering Opinions from the Working Committee
Analysis of Feasibility and Effectiveness, Actively Reflecting in Exhibition Production
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyung-pil] The Wando International Seaweed Expo Organizing Committee announced on the 16th that on the 11th, about 30 people including working committee members and secretariat staff gathered at the Wando Cultural Center to collect residents' opinions on the promotion of the expo.
The expo secretariat initiated a basic plan project on the 3rd of last month to prepare an implementation plan to further specify the installation and production of the exhibition hall.
On that day, after hearing explanations about the expo preparation status and the exhibition hall installation and production plans, residents' opinions were collected.
Various opinions were presented, including the installation of pressed flower art and symbols themed on seaweed, installation of a sea forest aquarium, setting up a seaweed train booth, creating an abalone experience center, seaweed auctions, seaweed food tasting events, integrated admission tickets for local tourist attractions linked with the expo, and issuing mobile admission tickets.
The county plans to carefully review the feasibility and effectiveness of the residents' opinions and actively reflect them in the exhibition production.
Jung In-ho, Secretary General of the Wando International Seaweed Expo, stated, “We plan to create a differentiated expo that can only be seen in Wando by collecting valuable opinions from residents.”
Going forward, the exhibition production field of the expo will be concretized next month after an interim report meeting on the 18th, and full-scale preparations will begin.
Meanwhile, although the organizing committee is facing many restrictions due to COVID-19, they are accelerating efforts to create a pre-event atmosphere for the successful hosting of the expo by posting promotional materials in large cities and attaching promotional stickers on vehicles.
