On the 16th, the Democratic Party of Korea Busan City Party announced, "The Busan general election candidates consist of 6 incumbent National Assembly members, 5 former ministers and vice ministers, 3 lawyers, and economic experts."
In Nam-gu Gap electoral district, former Vice Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Kang Jun-seok was strategically nominated, and in Busan Bukgangseo-eul, former World Bank Senior Economist Choi Ji-eun received a strategic nomination.
In Suyeong-gu, female lawyer Kang Yoon-kyung was nominated, and in Sasang-gu, former Secretary to the Prime Minister Bae Jae-jung was recommended as the sole candidate. In Haeundae Gap electoral district, former Minister of Science and ICT Yoo Young-min was recommended as the sole candidate.
In Busanjin-eul electoral district, former Commissioner of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety Ryu Young-jin was nominated; in Seo and Dong-gu, former Auditor of the Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation Lee Jae-gang; and in Saha-eul, former Auditor of the Korea Specialty Construction Mutual Aid Association Lee Sang-ho received nominations. In Dongnae electoral district, former Head of Management at S&T Daewoo Park Sung-hyun was nominated.

In Gijang-gun electoral district, candidate Choi Taek-yong was selected as the final candidate through a primary, and in Jung and Yeongdo districts, where a last-minute primary was held, candidate Kim Bi-o won the primary. In Geumjeong electoral district, former regional committee chairman Kim Kyung-ji won the primary. With this, all Democratic Party of Korea candidates for the 18 electoral districts in the Busan area have been decided.
