At Gyecheon Church in Sandong-myeon, Gurye-gun, 1,000 hand sanitizers were delivered to prevent COVID-19 among vulnerable groups. These hand sanitizers were distributed to elderly medical welfare facilities and people with severe disabilities.
Encouragement from residents for public health officials working 24-hour emergency shifts, including operating screening clinics and quarantine activities, is also ongoing. Saengmyeong-ui Bit Church in Gurye-eup provides Sunday lunch, and Mokwol Bakery, famous for Gurye’s 4無 (four no’s) healthy bread, delivered snacks worth about 1 million won, including 80 servings of bread to Gurye-gun Public Health Center and 150 servings to Daegu Medical Center External Cooperation Team, to comfort their hard work.
Gurye Livestock Cooperative (Chairman Jeon Chang-dong) donated 210 manual sprayers for disinfection on the 28th. The sprayers are distributed to multi-use facilities such as senior centers, welfare centers, and daycare centers, and are used for quarantine disinfection.
