Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station, Fire Safety Information Survey Actively Conducted
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station (Chief Moon Gisik) announced on the 16th that it will flexibly conduct fire safety information surveys until next year.
The fire safety information survey has been temporarily suspended since last month to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the community. The survey will be conducted considering future progress and other factors.
This information survey is a pan-government project that builds a database by investigating 52 items in four areas?▲building overview ▲status of fire-fighting facilities ▲user characteristics ▲factors of fire spread ▲conditions of surrounding roads?on 6,227 buildings that were subject to the 1st and 2nd phase special fire safety surveys but were not surveyed until last year.
The collected data will be used to ensure safe on-site activities for firefighters, such as fire suppression and rescue operations, and will be utilized to identify improvement tasks in vulnerable areas of fire safety management and to establish fire safety standards tailored to user characteristics.
